Our client is a growing international bank with multiple offices in Vancouver, Toronto, US and Asia. They are adding a loan officer to the Vancouver (Lower Mainland) commercial lending team.
Responsibilities

This person should be a strong hunter sales person focused on expanding the customer base by developing new borrowing relationships in BC. This person will also:

Prepare credit applications and renewals, including the review of financial statements, ensuring applicants exhibit quality risk assessment and analysis.

Conduct periodic reviews on borrowing clients and to monitor non-performing and past due facilities to minimize loan delinquency rate

Develop a network of contacts and undertake proactive marketing activities to attract new clients to the bank and to promote bank's products

Qualifications

Must have a minimum 4 years experience in commercial banking with banks/credit unions.

Must have proven marketing/business development skills and strong understanding of the Vancouver market.

Post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Finance or Accounting. MBA/account designations is an asset but not required.

Strong risk assessment skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
