Our client, a company poised for monumental success, is looking for a Senior Commercial Business Development Manager to join their successful team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the development of new businesses and to increase market share in existing business areas by working with management and engineering to perform market analysis and to develop program plans and objectives. You will negotiate competitive positions for new business development with customers and in-house managers.

To become the successful candidate, you must be currently contacting or have contacts with potential clients in the GTA. A minimum of 10 years experience in increasing levels of responsibility with proven success in business development in the GTA marketplace is required. A strong sales background, particularly in construction, design/build, construction management, or program management is a must. The successful candidate has proven ability to follow the sale through all segments, from architect through to distributor. The preferred candidate should be a well-organized, goal-oriented individual with an aggressive, focused and professional approach to sales. You must be detailed-oriented and also possess solid written and verbal communication skills along with highly effective group presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be a known and trusted partner with clients both internal and external to the organization, and will have a proven business development track record in the region, a strong network and understand the value of maintaining ongoing client relationships after project start-up. Previous relationship with the REIT, large commercial developers such as smart centres, or large commercial real estate developers is preferred.
