General Manager Canada - Energy Services Sales

Our Client is looking for a High Energy C-Level General Manager their Canada - Energy Services Sales Function: Sales - Sales Management Career Level: Experienced Location: Calgary, Canada Role Summary/Purpose This senior level position will have overall responsibility for executing and significant expansion of Canada region's Operating Plan of about $300MM in Energy Services products and services and setting strategic direction to drive both top & bottom line growth, through expansion into new customers, further penetration into existing customers. Essential Responsibilities " Overall responsibility for executing and significant expansion of Canada region's Operating Plan of about $300MM in Energy Services products and services and setting strategic direction to drive both top & bottom line growth, through expansion into new customers, further penetration into existing customers. " ES Sales portfolio would include sales of Parts, Repairs & Services of clients installed base of gas & steam turbines in the region and also sales of clients solutions around Optimization & Controls products, Industrial, Transmission & Distribution and Environmental product offerings. " The position would be responsible for setting the growth strategy over 3  5 years term across these segments to ensure sustainable growth. " Manage extended sales force for JVs, partners & variable channels across region. " Work closely with government bodies to shape regulations & futuristic market needs. Work with customers to assess their needs and appropriate product fit. " Identify opportunities for volume growth, backlog, and total Energy portfolio solutions. Knowledge of market economics, competitive issues, technology and projects. Use 6 Sigma rigor to create and drive process changes for winning strategies and order closures. Cultivate long-term relationships and communications at all levels of customer organizations as well as within company. " Fully integrate with Regional Customer teams and other company businesses. Provide leadership, coaching, and development for entire Energy Services commercial team in Canada to attract, retain, and build a talent pipeline. Drive the culture change of core commercial operations integration and region profit and loss operation mentality and rigor. Qualifications/Requirements " Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related technical or business field. " 10+ years of commercial sales experience as individual contributor. " 5+ years of Energy industry experience or Leadership experience of managing teams Knowledge of markets & ES product portfolio. " Understanding of customer financial drivers/needs. " Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. " Strong communication skills and confidence with executive presentations; ability to communicate with colleagues and customers at all levels. " Proven ability to effectively lead a multi-functional team and operate in a matrix organization. " Apply Six Sigma to improve customer satisfaction. " High proficiency in utilizing applicable software and sales tools. " Demonstrated track record of superior performance. " Proven ability to act as change agent. " Strong influencing skills. Desired Characteristics " GB/BB/MBB Certification for company internal candidates. " Financial experience /MBA or Post Graduate degree. " International experience " Knowledge of markets & ES product portfolio. " Understanding of customer financial drivers/needs. " Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
