Sales Manager - Oilsands Water Treatment Function: Sales - Client, Account and Affiliate Origination and Management Location: Calgary, Canada Role Summary/Purpose A sales leader role focused on expanding our clients equipment business in the Canadian Oil Sands through a strong network of industry relationships and in depth knowledge of oil sands water treatment and, refining and mining processes. Assists in the development of our clients Waters strategy and long-term planning for the Oil Sands. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the broader client organization. Essential Responsibilities -Establish relationships at senior levels within all major oil producers, refiners and EPCs. -Oversee and coordinate Waters equipment sales and business development in the Oil Sands for portfolio of water treatment equipment that includes Thermal Evaporators, UF/MBR, RO/ED, Mobile Water and Build Own Operate water solutions. -Coach and mentor Engineered Systems commercial developers in the region. -Establish sales plans and budgets for the region including preparation of annual business plans. -Grow market penetration and develop Waters equipment sales business in the Oil Sands. -Lead strategic positioning of projects and lead or participate in final bids. -Attend and lead sales calls as required. -Execute plan for equipment business growth in the Oil Sands to achieve corporate objectives. -Maintain network of agency and government contacts in support of Waters business objectives. -Participate on selected agency committees and industry organizations. -Provide support to the marketing team and various marketing initiatives within the Oil Sands. -Support Heavy Oil COE. -Partner with counterparts in other businesses to share leads and develop the greater portfolio in the Oil Sands market. -Represent Engineered Systems to Leadership. -Act as the Engineered Systems Leader in the Oil Sands, coordinating Sales, Services, and Project Management in a matrix environment. Qualifications/Requirements - Minimum 10 years of experience in the industrial water treatment field with a portion of that experience in the Oil Sands. - Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales/Business Development. - B.S. Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical). - Fluent in English. - Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the senior management levels. - Proven coordination, influence, and team leadership skills. - Above average communication skills (both written and verbal) - Proven track record of account management and sales success. - Strong aptitude to succeed in a technical and relationship driven business. - Experience in refining processes, petrochemical processes or oil field treatment. - Local market knowledge and experience. - Understanding of the customers purchasing processes and selection protocols. - Ability to work in a matrix organization in which you will take direction and lead others within various functions/organizations. - Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. - Willing to work independently and be a self-starter. - Flexible, willing to work long hours, at times. - Ability and willingness to reside in location of posting. - Ability and willingness to travel within territory.
