The Technical Outside Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating all activities including, but not limited to, accurate and timely submittal of proposals and follow-up for the Air Intake Filtration/Industrial power product line to our existing clients and also to provide new business development across Canada with a focus on teh Oil and gas sector primarily in Western Canada. This position maximizes the profitability of the client and company through matching our technical and operational capability to meet the clients needs. These responsibilities must be consistent with the overall corporate goals and directions, and be carried out through and with the support of Applications Engineers, Vessel and Element Customer Service and Distributors, as assigned; with specific focus on managing and growing the company's Air Filtration/Industrial Power sales, in such a way as to achieve all Corporate Objectives, Sales Plans, and Profit Goals.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
" Meet or exceed established Targets for the Air Filtration/Industrail Power product line, while increasing profitability in assigned territory.
" Command and execute successful ownership of the duties and responsibilities within the assigned area.
" Develop and maintain customer relations by:
Communicates and promotes positive company image.
- Identifying future projects, and ensuring our participation (bidders list)
- Tracking current projects, and ensuring our participation (receipt of inquiries) and promotes job successes.
- Positioning company to maximize their potential for each project.
- Coordinating with other Area Managers, Distributors and Application Engineers.
- Providing technical sales presentations to selected customers
- Participating in the generation of quotations together with Application Engineers and/or Product Managers
- Negotiating with customers to enable successful receipt of orders
- Following up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers
- Maintaining traditional markets and other markets of established business
- Penetrating new high margin markets and focusing on selling company's products
- Focusing on new applications in the non-traditional markets, and communicating the Success Stories
- Becoming a first call resource to your customers
- Recognizes and reports unconventional business opportunities.
- Developing Key Accounts and Contacts with Pecos customers in the assigned area
- Supporting, training, and motivating assigned Representatives and Distributors if and as applicable
- Participating in Training in company Technology
" Customer face-time is expected to be e 70%
- Responsible for establishing a solid working relationship with Customers, Sales and Application Engineers to ensure company is adequately represented.
" Travel primarily within the assigned territory and to Calgary as required.
Education and Training Required
" Post-secondary BS degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or equivalent education and experience
" Air Filtration/Industrial Power Markets: CPI, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Pulp and Paper, etc.
MUST HAVE: Air Filtration/Industrial Power knowledge, Experience and network of potential clients.
Remuneration: Consists of a generous and competitive base salary between + commissions + bonuses + company vehicle + benefits ($100k+)
