Business Development Director

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Director position is located in Seattle, Washington. The position is a senior level strategic role with the mandate to ensure the overall health of a major customer or a group of smaller customers through the entire engagement cycle. The Account Manager owns customer profitability and satisfaction and proactively identifies account risks and future opportunities within the account(s).
Acts as voice of communication to and from major account(s). Where not the main contact, ensures consistent messaging from Mxi to customer(s). Develops customer communication plan to coordinate and manage what is communication, and how and when to engage the rest of Mxi resources to ensure objectives are met.

" Accountable for overall customer P&L across all functions (licenses, services, MSU)
" Key lead through every stage of engagement process. Heavily involved in proposal development and approval, product roadmap development, change request process (for product and services), charters, etc, from conception to sign-off.
" Provides overall strategic framework and long term plans (both financial and solutions) for each major customer (e.g., ensuring there is a 5 year plan in place). Evaluate and oversee all business expansion opportunities within the specific customer(s).
" Develop and maintain executive level relationships at customer.
" Acting as the Account Lead, lead the development of specific goals, responsibilities, and deliverables of each subgroup to ensure customer and Mxi success. Holds sub-groups accountable for meeting goals.
" Drives thought leadership efforts within the account team and at customer. Develops and articulates Mxi value statement for each customer.
" Managing his/her assigned clients to ensure client satisfaction by setting expectations, tracking customer issues, and ensuring timely and productive feedback
" Handling escalated client concerns as warranted. Leads internal efforts to ensure customer issues are collected, researched, and resolved in order to satisfy any contractual agreements in place.
" Acts as escalation point for resource requirements. Takes inputs from subgroups and ensures appropriate resourcing levels based on demand signal and customer profitability.
" Working with sales, refine the sales process and assisting in closing engagements, as needed (i.e. presentations). Reviewing and approving all proposals to clients.
" Ensures contractual coverage is in place to allow for customer collections.
Requirements

" Degree/diploma in related discipline (Business, Accounting, Marketing, Engineering) or equivalent;
Minimum of 15 years of experience managing client services teams and/or sales within a professional services firm or other equivalent experience;
Large scale systems integration experience at a fortune 500/highly complex customer;
